Recipe Database (RDB)

Recipe Database will be a cross-platform program that catalogs and organized recipes. It will run in Windows using the native Win32 API, and Linux X11 using QT. It is being written in such a way that extending it to a new platform should take minimal work.

Overall, Recipe Database will be fairly simple. It will not have all of the fancy features of non-free programs, but it will get the job done. One thing RDB can do is import and export XML data. It is also able to export a recipe as HTML, so you can post it on a web site more easily.

It is licensed under the GPL. The short version of the GPL says that I retain copyright of the software, but I must give it away for free and provide source code. Anyone else may modify the software, but it must adhere to the same terms. This is a good thing for end users, but probably a bad thing for greedy corporations.

RDB has its own domain name.
